Hi, stranger from the internet ☺

It’s a pleasure to e-meet you!

My name is Jessie Elovitz, and I’m passionate about all things digital media and marketing, with a focus on empowered storytelling. I’m a recent grad from UCLA, where I majored in American Literature and Culture, and double minored in Digital Humanities and Professional Writing. The shorter version of my academic journey overall: a ton of reading and writing. I’m proud to share that my studies have well equipped my writing endeavors, as I’ve written essays about anything from uplifting rap music to the potential extinction of sharks.

Moreover, my professional journey has introduced me to the world of print and digital marketing, and I’ve fallen in love with digital storytelling and the sharing of narratives from various media-focused perspectives. In the little free time that I have (I like to keep busy), I’ve embraced photography, and I absolutely love sharing the memories I’ve captured from behind my Nikon’s viewfinder. If you’re not already interested in the compelling autobiography I’ve placed on your screen, here’s something that’s sure to catch your attention: I was a competition and performance jump roper. “What’s that?” you may ask… Well, you’ll just have to jump over (see what I did there?) to the jump rope page of my website to find out!

Anyways, grab a cup of coffee (or tea, if coffee isn’t your beverage of choice), and some snacks (I’d personally recommend Trader Joe’s milk chocolate and Haribo peach gummies), and stay a while! Happy browsing, and as the ever-wise Obi-Wan Kenobi would say, may the force be with you!

Let’s talk about empowered storytelling.

My passion is empowered storytelling. Whether it’s working in-house on a social media campaign to promote brand visibility, or working as a consultant to further an external marketing campaign, I love sharing empowered stories that increase visibility, create real change, and provide concrete results. Regardless of if the storytelling space is print, digital, or social, stories form the basis of what’s recognized as modern marketing and show target demographics a focused message, aimed on empowerment and welcoming audiences into a culture of communal storytelling.

Experience

I’m proud to share that I’ve worked for a variety of companies throughout the entertainment space. In summary, I started out interning for a wonderful telecommunications company based out of San Diego, shifted over to a full service music and marketing agency for a quarter, made the jump as an intern and later, as an assistant, in influencer and editorial marketing, and then moved over to ViacomCBS to intern for VidCon, joined SpongeBob and crew over at Nickelodeon International, and now I’ve landed at Star Trek.
